COBI® Sd.Kfz.8 Towing 8.8 cm Flak 36

Expand your collection with the Sd.Kfz. 8 & 8,8-cm-Flak 36 (DAK) set and experience the firepower of the "Eight-Eight" in the deserts of Africa. Immerse yourself in the sun-baked, arid landscapes of North Africa, where mobility, firepower, and reliability decided the outcome of battles. With this set, you build one of the most distinctive artillery sets of the Afrika Korps: the legendary 8.8 cm gun and a powerful half-track artillery tractor adapted to harsh desert conditions.

This set is ideal for history enthusiasts, realistic model builders, and anyone creating dioramas that capture the atmosphere of the North African campaign in World War II. The 8.8 cm Flak 36, known as the famous "Eight-Eight," gained fame not only as an effective anti-aircraft gun but also as one of the most dangerous anti-tank weapons of World War II. In North Africa, where heavy tanks were often scarce, its firepower repeatedly decided victory or defeat. Towed by powerful Sd.Kfz. 8 towing vehicles, it became a mobile pillar of German desert artillery.

The 1:35 scale allows you to fully capture the proportions, structural details, and historical silhouette of both the 8.8 cm Flak 36 and the Sd.Kfz. 8 towing vehicle. The models are large enough to depict the complexity of the mechanisms and yet fit perfectly into a display case, collector's shelf, or elaborate diorama. Thanks to the modular design, the trailer can be removed and two sets of road wheels can be taken off to place the gun directly on the ground.

- Two models in one set: In one box, you receive the legendary 8.8 cm Flak 36 on a Sonderanhänger 201 and the powerful half-track artillery tractor Sd.Kfz. 8. This is a complete representation of the mobile artillery of the Afrika Korps.

- Two Luftwaffe artillerymen figures: Detailed figures of an officer and an artilleryman in characteristic desert uniforms, including one with a German tropical helmet typical for Afrika Korps units, complement the models and enable realistic scenes of gun operation, command, and securing the firing position.

- Moving elements: The swiveling carriage, adjustable barrel, and sophisticated mechanisms make the gun look and behave like an original. Detailed chassis and realistic tracks of the Sd.Kfz. 8 half-track vehicle: Every element was designed with a focus on durability and historical accuracy.

- Ideal for building dioramas of the North African campaign: The set is perfect for creating dynamic scenes: a firing position in the desert, a marching column, or the preparation of an artillery barrage. The arrangement possibilities are almost unlimited to recreate battles in the desert sand.

- Intuitive construction manual: The clear manual guides you step by step through the entire assembly process, making the set suitable for both beginners and experienced collectors.

- Collector accessories: The set includes a weapon box and several ammunition parts for the gun, as well as a white plaque made of building bricks with the model name and scale. This is not only functional but also a great way to display the model at home, in the office, or in the living room.

- High-quality workmanship: Durable prints, solid construction, and detailed reproduction of technical details ensure that the set meets the expectations of collectors and lovers of World War II history alike.
