F-35B – Marine Corps Variant

The F-35B is the successor to the AV-8B Harrier II of the US Marine Corps. The F-35B is a variant of the Marine Corps and is characterized by short take-off and vertical landing capabilities (STOVL). It can be operated from both smaller aircraft carriers and airfields, and is capable of conducting close air support, bombing, and air combat missions. It was developed as part of the international Joint Strike Fighter program. Designed by a consortium of Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and BAE Systems, it has become a symbol of technological and combat superiority on the modern battlefield.
