The Evolution of Rally Power

The designation STI (Subaru Tecnica International) is far more than just a design package. It refers to Subaru's motorsport division, responsible for developing the most extreme versions of the Impreza. The WRX STI was created as a direct tribute to the brand's successes in the World Rally Championship (WRC), where Subaru set standards in the 1990s and early 2000s.

The Impreza WRX STI was characterized by its reinforced boxer engine, permanent all-wheel drive, advanced differential, and aggressive aerodynamics featuring a distinctive rear wing. Each subsequent generation was further developed with a focus on maximum performance and optimal handling, both on gravel stages and asphalt tracks.

The STI became an icon of uncompromising sporting driving – a car that combined effectiveness with everyday usability, thereby creating a legend known worldwide.
