The set was created in collaboration with the Maritime Museum in Gdynia, which is an honor and joy for us. The symbol of this institution will therefore always be seen on our set packaging.

History of the warship ORP Sęp:

The ORP Sęp was one of two modern submarines of the Orzeł class, built for the Polish Navy of the Second Polish Republic at the Dutch shipyard Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij. The ORP Sęp, launched in 1938, was characterized by its robust construction, its large displacement and its considerable combat potential for the conditions at the time.

In the face of the growing threat of war, the ship was moved to Poland in April 1939, even before its official takeover. During the September offensive, the ORP Sęp took part in the defense plan "Worek", including a torpedo attack on the German destroyer Friedrich Ihn. Soon it came under heavy fire, and the damage sustained forced it to break through to neutral Sweden, where it was interned until the end of the war.

After 1945, the ship returned to Poland and served for many years as a training and patrol ship. Its long and eventful service finally ended in 1969 with the decommissioning of the ORP Sęp.
