History of the Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo

The Maserati GranCabrio is one of the most famous Italian open grand tourers and is considered an icon of modern premium automotive design. The first generation debuted in 2009 as the brand's first full-size convertible and quickly gained cult status. Production of the first series ran until 2019; more than 11,000 examples of this extraordinary vehicle were put on the road.

In 2024, Maserati introduced a new generation of the GranCabrio, based on an evolved platform and featuring all-wheel drive as well as the revolutionary Nettuno V6 engine – an engine derived directly from the MC20 supercar.

The "Trofeo" version is the most sporty variant with an internal combustion engine in the model range of this luxury spyder. It offers increased power of 550 PS, race-oriented performance – including a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds – and an uncompromising, aggressive character that perfectly underscores Maserati's racing DNA.
