Description
Enrich your collection with the Nieuport 17 C.1, the biplane that ushered in the era of modern military aviation in Poland after its rebirth.
Create a legend of the First World War! With high-quality building blocks, you can assemble a precise model of one of the most important aircraft of the First World War: the French fighter Nieuport 17 C.1 in Polish livery.
This light, agile, and fast aircraft became an icon of Allied aviation and, after the First World War, also found its way into reborn Poland, where it supported the first Polish squadrons in the fight for the borders of the Republic.
The success story of the Nieuport 17
In 1916, the French manufacturer Nieuport presented a new version of its fighter aircraft, the Nieuport 17 C.1, equipped with a 110 hp Le-Rhône engine.
The aircraft was larger, more powerful, and faster than its predecessor, the Nieuport 11, offering excellent maneuverability and a high rate of climb. It quickly became the standard fighter for French and British pilots.
The greatest Allied fighters of the time, including Albert Ball and William Bishop, flew the Nieuport 17 and achieved dozens of air victories. Impressed by the aircraft's performance, the Germans attempted to develop a counterpart: the Siemens-Schuckert D.I fighter.
Nieuport 17 in the Polish Air Force
After the end of the First World War, several Nieuport 17s were delivered to Poland.
These aircraft were assigned to the first Polish air units and saw action in the Polish-Soviet War. Interestingly, Polish Nieuports were among the first aircraft to bear the designation Nieuport 17. The red-and-white checkerboard pattern, a symbol that eventually became a fixed part of Polish aviation, was a key element of the Polish Air Force. These biplane fighters played a significant role in building the young Polish Air Force. Although they were already considered somewhat outdated at the time, they were extremely reliable and still impressively agile in combat. For Polish pilots, they were not only a tool of war but also a symbol of the birth of Polish aviation.
Appreciated for their durability and ease of operation, they served pilots who bravely defended the independence of their homeland.
Now you can also add this legendary aircraft to your model building collection.
Why you should add the Nieuport 17 C.1 with Polish markings to your collection:
Authenticity down to the detail – The model is characterized by a precisely reproduced aircraft shape, realistic livery, and a sesquiplane wing arrangement, where the lower wing is significantly smaller than the upper one. The model stands out with its impressive appearance and faithful reproduction of authentic proportions.
Polish markings without stickers – Red-and-white checkerboard patterns printed directly onto the building blocks guarantee historical accuracy in reproducing the graphic elements, durability, and a flawless appearance for years to come.
Pilot figure – A pilot in Polish uniform of the era adds a special touch to your set. Assemble the figure, prepare the pilot for flight, and place him in the aircraft to set off on a mission.
Collector plaque – A sturdy white plaque made of building blocks featuring the aircraft's name, the scale, and the Polish and French flags is perfect for presenting the model in a collector's display case.
Fun, learning, and passion combined – By building this model, you will learn about the history of Polish aviation and develop your craftsmanship skills.
