Panzerkampfwagen VI or Tiger is a German heavy tank from World War II. Its distinctive shape is still recognizable worldwide. The vehicle itself has become legendary and remains present not only in historical records but also in pop culture. The first Tiger units were delivered to the front near Leningrad and Tunisia in August/September 1942. The tank, designed and manufactured by Henschel, was very modern and effective. Unfortunately, its production consumed enormous amounts of valuable raw materials and time. The Tiger I and some Tiger II tanks had a significant impact on the course of hostilities. The notorious and fearsome Tigers destroyed over 10,300 Allied tanks and 11,380 guns, while their own losses amounted to 1,725.
