The ship comes apart to show what is inside. The deck is built in removable layers, so you can lift each section off and look straight down into the crew quarters, the cargo hold, and the captain's cabin below.

There are working details throughout. The cabin section rotates, the twin anchors raise and lower on their chains, and the stern cabin is linked so it moves as one piece.
